Provide Terms For A Child's Desire

I have an 8-year-old boy who is difficult to tell to memorize. When at school given the task of memorizing multiplication, he does not want to. Finally when tested by his teacher, he can not. I as a parent always think how to make my child want to memorize the multiplication.

When at home, my son loved playing games on the computer. This is an activity he likes very much, so it's hard to be limited to 2 hours. Finally I made an appointment with my son, that is, if he wants to play the game must be tested multiplication first to true. After that he was allowed to play games for 30 minutes.

Finally he always wanted to be tested multiplication, because he wanted to immediately play the game. From here I got 2 results, that my child so can be limited to play the game up to 30 minutes and he so want to memorize multiplication. This experience, I apply also to other lessons.
